KVIST Interiors has grown out of a deeply rooted belief that a building is not complete without dedicated care and attention to the interior details, lighting, finishes and furniture. We believe in meaningful consultation with the client and building users, understanding what represents value to you and responding in a reflective way. As designers we pride ourselves on not imposing a house style, but drawing on the client's aspirations to arrive at a composition that reflects their personal taste and needs.
We work closely with suppliers, retailers and other specialists as required to deliver high quality interiors in a team environment. Ideas are explored and developed through discussion, sketching and presentation of physical samples to maximise possibilities and unlock the potential of a space. As a multidisciplinary practice these principles run through all our work, and we can offer specific additional resource on Architectural schemes to assist with delivering a turnkey project. Equally, our experience with planning, building regulations, budgeting and construction enable us to add value by giving holistic design advice on our interior schemes.
New 5* spa development at Boringdon Hall, Plymouth
Gaia Spa is a new, luxury spa within the grounds of Boringdon Hall, Devon - a Grade I listed 16th century country manor house hotel, on the edge of Dartmoor, near Plymouth. Christine worked closely with the client body from the early stages to refine and detail the interior finishes, lighting and furnishing from concept sketches through to completion and opening.
Expertly designed, Gaia Spa provides relaxation and inspiration throughout, inspired by nature in a contemporary context.
Inspired by nature, Gaia Spa has the philosophy ‘Your Wellness, Naturally’. The spa features 12 beautiful treatment rooms, including two double treatment rooms, a state-of-the-art gym, infinity pool and hydrotherapy pool with outdoor swim through. There are five unique heat experiences including Finnish sauna, herbal sauna, laconium, crystal salt steam room and aromatherapy steam room. On the upper floors there is a Spatisserie restaurant overlooking the beautiful Dartmoor landscape, a beauty salon with champagne services and a dedicated retail space which sells the spa's own products developed for the launch.
Christine oversaw the construction on site for almost two years, liaising closely with the directors, staff, project manager, contractor and specialist sub-contractors.
